About Us

The Clearview Sustainability Network (CSN) is an inclusive and optimistic citizen-led group bringing together diverse members of our community to help our local government adapt and evolve in the face of a changing climate. We are a not-for-profit network and everyone is welcome.

The organization, founded in September 2022, by a group of citizens from the area concerned about the impact climate change was having on our environment, and determined to take steps to mitigate the effects to our community while preserving the environment in Clearview. To-date we have 180 members working towards a sustainable and vibrant future for Clearview.

Clearview is uniquely a rural community where farming is a large and important component of the economy. Our goal is to increase public awareness about the issues facing our community and to envision and enact viable and sustainable solutions in cooperation with our municipal government. Our Community Outreach programs include:

CSN also coordinates with like-minded climate groups from communities all around the Southern Georgian Bay region to learn from each other and support our local governments address the climate crisis with a sense of urgency. CSN is part of this “regional” approach to maximize impact and funding in the shortest timeline without duplication of effort.
